Welcome to the Primary (K-1) Resource Room. The goal of this program is to work together with parents and staff, to help those students that are exhibiting difficulties in the general education classroom. Our time is spent engaged in applying powerful direct interventions.
Butte View is a Problem Solving School-those students that are struggling to make gains in the general education curriculum, go through 4-8 weeks of progress monitoring before being brought to our Response to Intevention (RTI) team. The RTI team works with all staff in finding the best skill based intervention for the struggling student. On-going Progress Monitoring facilitates improving instruction and interventions. Our school uses fluency measures in both reading and math for on-going progress monitoring.
Our classroom looks different than the general education classroom. Instead of seeing a whole class of 25 students, you will see several small groups of 4-6 students actively engaged in small group instruction.
You are welcome to come watch us learn!
